Environmental Movement and the Civil Rights Movement

Black civil rights movement in America, we can learn something very important perspectives of the ecological movement.

While the movement appears to fight for very different issues, the parallels are easy to see. The ecological movement has powerful champions like Al Gore, Agnes Denes and Amy Balkin. Some of the most extraordinary man who fought for civil rights ever existed, such as Martin Luther King and Malcolm X. Neither movement has simply left the country, but were the culmination of centuries of work, abolitionists such as WEB DuBois and environmentalists like Henry David Thoreau.

What can we take that the movements are similar? The first is that we hunters have to (you can call the artist if you want) with bold ideas. Afro-Americans have waited long enough for White, their rights before the fat man reinforced the plate with bold ideas handover. Boycotts, happened to sit-ins, marches and other creative resistance organized justice to blacks in America at the end.

Their efforts succeeded in convincing the government to see their point of view. Black leaders not the end of racism, though. Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated before he had seen his world view. The U.S. government is not the end by racism. It was not until our modern times, in the 21 Century, questions of race finally began to fade. Why now?

It began with an idea. A government official had the genius of a young white girl doll and a doll of a young black girl and asked black girls “which is better?” When the girls chose the white dolls, the world has moved. Segregation in schools is complete. place a new era of school reform is slow. Each year, as has been the idea of tolerance, entrenched in the soul of each student in the United States. Our generation has had in New York this idea (rightly) brainwashed us: we are all equal. The result is a company with less racism, the more generations are born.

People in their habits become hard with age. It is in youth that the ideas and desires are fixed in life. The green movement needs to understand that. Changing the minds of the adults is very difficult, though necessary. Teach your children when the system is most effective for the future of the movement.

From elementary school children must learn how to grow plants. There should be community or school gardens, where children this act may be the creation of their own experience. They must learn the taste of their own fruit and vegetables.

They must be taught lessons in how simple, with these donations, they are the responsibility of care given for the Earth. We can teach, be disgusted by the idea of pollution. Your world is cleaner than we can imagine and they do not even understand how could we live differently. Can you value a slave, or why people discriminate against a soft-spoken man would understand, dressed in black? The idea is absurd.

This is my art project. It is in our schools, that change must come. While we as adults must do our best to run a good example, everything will be in vain if we do not begin today to teach children to love the world, and how to love the smell of life more of a spring morning.
